55+ Communities, also called 55 Plus Communities, are active retirement havens for adults, offering varied amenities and housing from golf course homes to serene city living among like-minded neighbors. They typically include pools, Pickleball, Shuffleboard, tennis courts, clubhouses with kitchens, and championship golf courses in gated, resort-like environments.
Included in this area are wonderful recreation areas, state parks, great areas for hunting and fishing. Many of Iowa's greater comunities reside in this region. All combined they have a wealth of things to see and do.
