Missouri Golf Course Communities

Communities found in this category are centered around golfing facilities ranging from 9-hole courses, through executive 18-hole courses, all the way up to the most challenging and demanding championship courses. Many of these master planned communities also feature such other recreational amenities as tennis courts, fitness centers, swimming complexes, and marinas.

Missouri is a state with both Midwestern and Southern cultural influences, reflecting its history as a border state between the two regions. The state is named after the Missouri Siouan Indian tribe.

Even though more than 95% of Missouri’s land area is rural, it is home to more than 100 wineries, 6,000 caves and a notable contemporary art scene, especially around St. Louis. With urban centers like St. Louis and Kansas City, quality health care is easier to find than it is in some rural states. The overall cost of living is nearly 10% below the U.S. Average and nursing home and assisted-living costs are significantly lower than average, making it a viable option for retirement.

The Missouri climate is humid-continental, influenced by the Gulf of Mexico and from the northwest. Summers are hot and humid with frequent thunderstorms and occasional tornadoes.
