55+ Communities, also called 55 Plus Communities, are active retirement havens for adults, offering varied amenities and housing from golf course homes to serene city living among like-minded neighbors. They typically include pools, Pickleball, Shuffleboard, tennis courts, clubhouses with kitchens, and championship golf courses in gated, resort-like environments.
The Sand Hills are a 19,600 mi˜ (50,960 km˜) region of mixed-grass prairie in north-central Nebraska, covering just over one quarter of the state. Dunes in the Sand Hills may exceed 330 ft (100 m) in height.
