55+ Communities, also called 55 Plus Communities, are active retirement havens for adults, offering varied amenities and housing from golf course homes to serene city living among like-minded neighbors. They typically include pools, Pickleball, Shuffleboard, tennis courts, clubhouses with kitchens, and championship golf courses in gated, resort-like environments.
Mississippi is considered part of the deep south. The state takes its name from the Mississippi River, which flows along its western boundary. Though often overlooked, Mississippi has the gorgeous landscapes, gulf coast beaches and southern charm that many retirees desire.
