55+ Communities, also called 55 Plus Communities, are active retirement havens for adults, offering varied amenities and housing from golf course homes to serene city living among like-minded neighbors. They typically include pools, Pickleball, Shuffleboard, tennis courts, clubhouses with kitchens, and championship golf courses in gated, resort-like environments.

Kansas City, Kansas is the third largest city in the U.S. state of Kansas and the county seat of Wyandotte County; it is part of the "Unified Government" which also includes the cities of Bonner Springs and Edwardsville. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 146,867. Topeka is the capital of the State of Kansas and the county seat of Shawnee County, which is named after the Shawnee Indians. It has a population of 122,377 as of the 2000 census.
