Abbeyfield Houses Society of Clinton, BC - Overview

Abbeyfield Clinton is proud to announce the opening of the addition to the Abbeyfield Houses Society, offering seniors a comfortable and affordable place to live. Abbeyfield houses are established in many countries, all have the atmosphere of a normal, single family home. You would have the privacy, dignity and freedom needed, to continue leading a normal life, but you would also be in a more secure environment, with the company of others. To maximize your flexibility, you are usually responsible for making your own breakfast, (ingredients are provided) however, lunch and dinner are prepared daily by the housemother. If you enjoy cooking, gardening or other activities, you will have the opportunity to engage in them. You may furnish your room with your own furnishings, but if you have little or no furniture, we will help you making your room comfortable. We are looking forward to welcome a small group of 8 people, wanting to enjoy life and activities. Sharing crafts, stories, music and learning or teaching new skills. There is a cozy sitting room, separate TV room, fitness area, computer office, hobby room, and a large woodworking shop. One large room will be made into a guestroom for out of town friends and family, for a short term visit. Residents will have a say in how we may improve our home and daily life. A stair-lift is installed for those with difficulty negotiating stairs, and private panic buttons for emergencies. Come join us.
