Heritage Place for Seniors - Overview

Residents at Heritage Place enjoy an independent, elegant lifestyle in a supportive residential setting. The Village consists of three separate residential Houses linked by a covered walkway. Each House offers 9 garden-level suites, all with a private patio ideal for outdoor furniture and planted pots. A Residential Homemaker, who provides the services for the House, lives on-site. The light-filled west coast design of the buildings creates a home-like atmosphere, a welcome change from the institutional feel of many Seniors' housing projects. The monthly fee includes heat, garbage/snow removal, weekly linen laundry, weekly cleaning, evening meal, cablevision, recycling, parking, water, sewer, Lifeline 24 hour emergency call system, scheduled personal use of laundry room, and all maintenance - inside and out. Each House consists of a lovely lounge with fireplace and entertainment centre, a deluxe kitchen for food preparation by the Homemaker, and a dining room where the Residents of the House come together for a nutritious home-style meal each evening. All items on the menu, including breads, soups and desserts are made fresh on the premises each day. Dietary needs are addressed. Heritage Place Village is just a short stroll from many shops, restaurants, medical and dental offices, a pharmacy and Lady Minto Hospital. Pathways lead to a Seniors Activity Centre and the Royal Canadian Legion. As our Residents gracefully age they are welcome to contract community services such as Homecare or private nursing, or a caregiver may live with them so that they can gracefully age in place.
