This lovely community feature has a glass-enclosed, cedar-sided meeting room with a masonry fireplace and a kitchen where cooking lectures and demonstrations are held regularly. The covered pavilion and manicured lawn offer the perfect venue for picnics and outdoor enjoyment. The covered gazebo sitting on a fully-stocked fishing pond offers the perfect place to catch a bass or catch the perfect sunset.

Whether you are new to the Brunswick Forest community or you’ve lived here for some time, there are always unique activities to get involved in. If you’re looking for a break from your daily routine, try joining one of the resident-sponsored clubs! From fishing to book clubs and poker groups, residents are continually finding ways to pique their interests while meeting new friends.

There are plenty of these activities that take place every week. A number of residents get together during the week for bridge, Bible study, mahjongg, wine night and a variety of resident-sponsored activities where they socialize and meet their new neighbors! There is something for everyone and all are welcome, so go ahead and check out the schedule of clubs and find what interests you!

From book clubs and poker groups to pickleball and golf, there’s always plenty to do and new people to meet while living here at Brunswick Forest. Switch it up a bit and explore the clubs and activities going on in the community! Fitness Center

Staying fit and healthy isn’t a stretch with Brunswick Forest’s 18,000-square-foot Fitness & Wellness Center.

The Fitness & Wellness Center provides up-to-date equipment and services, including indoor and outdoor pools, the latter with a wade-in entry, expansive sun deck and a snack bar. Five hard-surface tennis courts and a sport court complete the outside area, while the indoor facility features an aerobics studio, a cardiovascular equipment room, expansive men's and women's locker rooms with showers and a steam room, plus massage rooms and a lounge.

Like all amenities at Brunswick Forest, the Fitness & Wellness Center is linked to the neighborhoods via a network of paths and trails, so residents can start their fitness programs right as they leave their homes.

In addition, wellness programs, evaluations, screenings and seminars are offered at the Fitness & Wellness Center through New Hanover Regional Medical Center, which has a Health & Diagnostics facility located in The Villages at Brunswick Forest.

Pools/Spas

Southeastern North Carolina’s extended summers offer an abundance of warm weather, and Brunswick Forest’s Fitness Center & Wellness Center provides indoor and outdoor pools for your enjoyment.

Choose the indoor pool for swimming laps or joining a water aerobics class. When the skies are Carolina blue, opt for the outdoor pool to bask in the sun, relax in a chaise lounge, or enjoy snacks and drinks in the shade of an umbrella-topped table at the Splash Café.

Throughout the summer season, special events may be held poolside for families and adults, including holiday gatherings, barbecues, live music and more.

Outdoor Activities

A network of more than 100 miles of paved and unpaved walking and biking trails connects Brunswick Forest’s various neighborhoods to all the amenities, parks and natural areas found throughout the 4,500-acre reserve. No other community in the Wilmington-area offers as many walking and biking trails as Brunswick Forest.

Sidewalks line every road, inviting evening strolls and leisurely bike rides between neighborhoods, as well as to the golf course, the Fitness and Wellness Center, and the community garden. These walking and biking trails also connect the shops, services and entertainment options of The Villages at Brunswick Forest.

A picturesque boardwalk meanders across the 343-acre, boot-shaped natural area in the heart of Brunswick Forest, with a four-mile loop of paths circling it. One of the community's most pleasant and popular nature walks, it can be accessed via a trail leading from Annsdale Park.

Golf

Brunswick Forest's Cape Fear National offers 18 holes of championship golf, designed by Tim Cate. Using the magnificent forest of oaks, maples, cypress, pines and magnolias as a backdrop, Cate has created drama and interest at every hole for players of all levels. Residents can enjoy a Clubhouse with a host of golf and social activities and facilities.

Not a golfer?! Try your hand at Pickleball on one of the six hard-surface courts located next to the clubhouse.

Water/ Marina/ Boating

Town Creek River Access – Canoe and Kayak Launch

Along the banks of picturesque Town Creek bordering Brunswick Forest, a river launch offers residents the opportunity to fish, paddle and picnic. Known for its abundance of wildlife, aquatic vegetation, and virgin forests, this tidal-influenced tributary meets up with the Cape Fear River and Intracoastal Waterway, winding its way to the Atlantic Ocean. The launch itself is an innovative design that makes launch and recovery so much easier. Kayaks can be placed in a cradle dock that allows it to glide into the water, making the boating experience simpler and more enjoyable.

Fishing
