Sunalei Preserve - Overview
A new mountain community within a preserve with dramatic long-range vistas, Sunalei Preserve features elevations ranging from 3,800 feet to over 5,500 feet above sea level. Approximately 200 of its 1,000 acres will become a part of a permanently managed nature preserve insuring that the unique beauty of the highest mountain in Watauga County remains unharmed, pristine, and "forever wild." Located in the northwestern corner of North Carolina on Snake Mountain, an area known as "High Country," Sunalei Preserve is just twelve miles north of Boone, North Carolina. National parks, ski resorts, golf courses, Grandfather Mountain, and other area attractions are within a short drive.
